Paul Smith Eau De Parfum in 'Floral' | Review

I've had this perfume for a while and have recently come to the end of my bottle, so I thought I'd do a review on it for you! I never really hear much talk about this perfume, so hopefully this will be useful to any of you looking to buy it :)

Scent:
Heart Notes: Magnolia, orchid, osmanthus
Top Notes:Orange, grapefruit, ginger
Base Notes: Musk, amber, exotic woods, tonka beans

As the name suggests, it is a very floral scent. I can personally really smell the orchid when wearing this. If you don't like floral scents, stay away from this one. It's a very girly scent and it makes me feel very feminine when I wear it. I love this fragrance in the summertime, it's more of a summer day scent than wintery scent. I'd also say this is a daytime scent than a nighttime scent too.

Lasting Power:
For the price, this has pretty good lasting power. I find it lasts about 6+ hours on me with the scent still being pretty noticeable.

Packaging:
The packaging of this is really cute and girly. It's a luxurious packaging by any means, the bottle is made out of plastic and is very lightweight, but this makes it travel friendly.  The pink and white colour scheme is lovely and would look really lovely on a dressing table. I think the packaging reflects the type of person this scent is targeting, it's aimed more towards the girly girls who love sweet, floral scents.

For the price, I think this perfume is really good value. I think this is ideal for those looking for a cheap fragrance, or perhaps for younger girl who are just starting to get into wearing perfume.

YSL Manifesto Eau De Parfum | Review

I bought this fragrance around Christmas and have nearly used it all up. This has been my signature scent for the past 6 months and now that I've nearly finished the bottle, I thought I'd give you my thoughts on it.

Packaging:

As to be expected of a YSL product, the packaging feels luxurious and looks expensive. I'm not usually too bothered by packaging of makeup products, but I like my perfume bottles to look good so they look nice on my dressing table. The YSL bottle is a clear, glass hourglass shaped bottle with bits of purple and gold. I personally like this bottle, its eye-catching without being too in your face.

Scent:

Heart Notes: Sambac Jasmine Absolute, Lily of the Valley Accord, Creamy Accord

Top Notes: Bergamot Oil, Blackcurrant Buds Absolute, Crispy Green Accord

Base Notes: Cedarwood Heart Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Bourbon Vanilla Absolute CO2, Tonka Bean Absolute

I find it hard to describe perfumes, but to me YSL Manifesto is a sweet, floral fragrance.  However, I would describe it as a more 'mature' floral scent, it is different from some the very overly floraly scents often worn by young teenager, and is aimed more towards the older crowds. Personally, I can really smell the vanilla and jasmine in this when I spray it.

Its an Eau De Parfum, so that means the scent is more powerful.

Lasting Power:

This personally lasts all day on me. I have no need to retouch it. The smell does fade a bit towards the end of the day, but personally I think it has good lasting power for  perfume.

Pricing:

 A 30ml bottle will set you back around £47.00. This is quite expensive for a perfume, especially compared to what is currently available on the market. However, YSL is a premium brand and that is reflected in both the product and the price.

Dreams Unlimited™ Sun Fresh Eau de Toilette | Review

The Body Shop is most well known for its skincare range, most notably its body butters. I have their body butters and scrubs and love them, however, I had never tried out any of their fragrances. I spotted this one recently and was in love with the bottle design and the scent. It's hard to describe, but to me, this smells like summer in a bottle.

Scent: According to The BodyShop:

"This summery fragrance is a blend of neroli blossom and refreshing watermelon notes. It is vibrant, energising and as refreshing as a splash in the ocean."

There is also added sea spray and fruity watermelon. Personally, I love this combination and I do find it to be a very refreshing scent. I like spraying this on really hot days as I find it really cools me down.

Lasting Power: This is an Eau de Toilette so the scent and the staying power isn't as good as that of an Eau de Parfum, however I find this lasts around 4 hours on me which isn't too bad for an Eau de Toilette.The bottle is small and light so it is portable if you wished to carry it around with you.

Packaging: I really love this packaging, the gradient from blue to yellow reminds me of the summer and being by the ocean. The packaging shows that this is a summer scent. The bottle isn't too heavy too so I don't feel like I'm scared I'll drop it every time I use it. It is also a 50ml size which is pretty good for the price as the standard size for fragrances is around 30ml.

Would I repurchase?: I really like this scent, but for me it is definitely a summer scent so I would only really wear this in the summer, and would choose something else for the winter.For the summer, I do really like this and will continue to wear it, particularly on hot days.
