Haul! | Mango

This is my first haul post on my blog! I know some people don't like hauls because they think people are showing off or bragging but that really isn't the case. I love seeing what people have bought, it makes me see new things that I like and want, that I didn't even know existed! I also find it interesting to see what people choose to buy and why.

I was in London yesterday for a careers event and had to go to Oxford Street while I was there. I didn't really buy anything other than in Mango. They had a 50% sale in the store and being a lover of Mango clothing, I had to have a look. I don't have a Mango immediately near me (unless I get the train into Birmingham centre and the Mango is quite small) so it was a great chance to look at what they had in stock. I did like a lot of the clothes but decided I'd got too many clothes already.

I needed a new bag and shoes desperately so managed to pick up things that I actually needed and will use, rather than things that will go in my wardrobe and be barely worn!

Touch Quilted Bowling Bag - £42.99 £19.99

The first thing I picked up was this black bag. I really needed a new handbag for everyday use. At the moment I've been using a smaller Mango bag which is great for going out to dinner or for a night out, but is too small for everyday use. It's also quite old and this is beginning to show. This bag is really spacious and you could certainly fit a lot in it. I also like the fact that it will go with all my clothes. I'm really happy with this, and I know Mango bags are good quality.

Studded Shoes - £59.99 £29.99

I don't know the exact name of these shoes as they aren't on their website.

The second thing I picked up were these shoes. And I'm in love with them. I've wanted some shoes in this style for ages but can never seem to find any that are affordable but good quality. These are good quality shoes, they are quite hard and sturdy so certainly aren't going to fall apart like a lot of the other shoes I've seen would. I also love the studs, it makes them a bit different but still keeps them girly. I'm going to be wearing these a lot. They were also a great price at only £29.99. They are clearly good quality which is why they were supposed to be so expensive, and I'm so happy I managed to get the style and quality I wanted for half the price!

They're a bit dirty in the photo because I actually wore them yesterday as the shoes I was wearing were annoying me as they're a bit worn so don't fit great anymore. These were really comfortable and fitted my feet perfectly.

Red Heart Shaped Coin Purse £9.99 £4.99

This wasn't on the website either, so don't the exact name.

The last thing I picked up was this purse. I was in the queue when saw this by the time. At the price of £4.99 I couldn't resist as it was such a nice purse and I needed a one because mine is really really old. It won't hold cards in, but will be great for my holding my money.

That was all for my haul from Mango! I really love everything I got and know I will use it all a lot. Does anyone else shop at Mango? Let me know in the comments!

That's all for now,

Liebester Award!

Firstly, I'd like to thank Becki from Bows, Beauty and Becki who nominated me for this!
The Libester Award is a great idea that helps people discover new small bloggers they may not have heard of, and to also help you learn more about the blogger behind the posts!
So First things first, the rules!
  1. Each nominee must answer the 11 questions that were asked by the blogger who nominated them
  2. You must choose 11 bloggers with under 200 followers to pass this onto
  3. Make 11 questions for them to answer
  4. Go to their blog and leave a comment telling them they have been nominated
  5. No tag backs!
So with that all done, lets get on with the questions asked by Becki!

1. What is your dream for the future?

Oooh that's a hard one. I suppose in the distant future I'd like to be settled into a job that I'm enjoying, have great friends and my own place too.

2. If you could live your life by one motto/ quote what would it be?

I have always lived by the quote:
'Everything will be okay in the end. And if, it not okay, it's not the end'
Ever since I first heard it I try and apply it to my life. When things get me down, I remember this quote and it helps me to cheer up!

3. Who inspires you? (Celebrity, Family etc)

It depends on what context! For general life everyone around me inspires me, seeing people getting what they've worked so hard for inspires me to do the same.

4. Favourite Make-up brand?

Ahh this is so hard to name just one! I'd have to go for Illamasqua. There's never been a product of theirs that I haven't fallen in love with, and I love the message that the brand tries to promote. Nars and Bobbi Brown are very close seconds, they are just a bit pricier so sadly I haven't had chance to try as many of their products.

5. What is your favourite type of product? (i.e Mascara, Lipstick)

It has to be blush. I didn't used to be into blush and felt like one blusher was all you need in your collection. How naive I once was! I love the one that different tones can completely change your look, and I love that some are shimmery, some are matte and some are full on glitterbombs (Looking at you Nars SuperOrgasm). I also like how they can compliment lip colour and eye colours and bring a whole look together.

6. What brands/ shops do you wish were sold where you live but aren't? (i.e Sephora come to the UK!)

I tweeted about this the other day, but I really wish Tarte Cosmetics were available in the UK! As said, I love blushes and have heard so so much about the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes and really want to try them. I've looked online but can't find them anywhere. If anybody knows of a place to get hold of Tarte products in the UK please let me know!

7. What is one item that you really want but it's too expensive? (i.e Chanel Handbag)

Louboutins! I really want a pair but obviously they are so expensive.

8. If you could look like anybody who would you want to look like and why?

Without a shadow of a doubt, Blake Lively. She is flawless in my opinion and always looks nice no matter what she is wearing, or how her makeup is.

9. Dream Job?

Hmm, I'm a bit torn on this. I'm currently studying a law degree wit the intention to become a solicitor, but I think my dream job would be a makeup artist or a beauty columnist. It's something I have a real passion for and know I would enjoy doing. I'd also love to be a forensic scientist too, but I'm not brilliant at all things science.

10. If you could live anywhere in the world - where would it be and why?

New York. Need I say more?

Source

11. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning on average?

It depends on my hair really. If I need to wash, blowdry and style my hair it takes around an hour and a half. If my hair is fine, then I only need 10-20minutes to do my makeup.

So those are the questions I was asked, here's my questions:

1. If you could only wear one eyeshadow colour for the rest of your life what would it be?
2. If you could only use products from one brand for the rest of your life what would it be, and why?
3. What's the best product you've ever brought?
4. What product has you repurchased the most?
5. Natural no-makeup makeup or glamour glitz?
6. What is your favourite nail polish colour?
7. If you could bring back a limited edition item that is no longer available what would it be?
8. Where do you buy most of your clothes from?
9. What inspired you to start a blog?
10. What is your favourite perfume?
11. What's your favourite blog post of yours?

I'm not sure if these bloggers have already been nominated but here it goes!

I nominate:
1.  Smile Love Spend
2. Bethany Worrall
3. Dees Beautiful Life
4. Elle Blogs Beauty
5. LookLoveWear
6. Fresh Daisy Chains

Those are the only ones I can think of at the moment, I'm quite new to blogging so don't know many bloggers yet!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Beauty Wish List | July

1. Real Techniques Limited Edition Duo Fiber Set - £23.99
I've never tried Real Techniques brushes but I've heard so much good stuff about their brushes. I love duo fiber brushes and when I saw this kit I knew I wanted it.

2. Sleek MakeUP Blush by 3 Palette in Sweet Cheeks - £9.99
I already blogged about how much I love the Sleek MakeUP Blush by 3 palettes here, and this is their newest offering. I really love the colours in this palette and think that they would look great for the summer.

3. Pixi Early Bird Kit - £16
Every since I saw this I knew I wanted it, its a huge makeup kit with so many products. It has eyeshadows, blushes, bronzers, a highlighter and powder shades. I think this would be really great for travelling, which I do quite a bit, as it contains most the makeup that I use on an everyday. I also haven't tried any stuff from Pixi before, so this would be a great introduction to the brand

4. Rimmel Apocalips in Big Bang - £5.99
I've been lusting after these for ages as I love the idea of a cross between a lipstick and a lipgloss. I'm particularly interested in the red shade having seen swatches of it on other people.

5. MAC Mineralize SkinFinish Natural in Light - £22
I've been after this for a while. I want a new powder to set my makeup and would like to try a non-translucent powder (what I currently use) to see if that makes a difference. I have heard really good things about how this product leaves your skin looking so really want to try it out.

6. Essie Nail Polish in Mint Candy Apple £7.99
I only have one Essie nail polish and really want to expand my collection. Mint Candy Apple seems to be a colour that everyone has and I think its a great colour for the summer.

7. Bobbi Brown Navy and Nude Palette - £48
I really like the look of this. I love nude colours and think the pop of Navy adds a nice twist to the palette. It also looks really compact and easy to carry around - something which I always look for in a eyeshadow palette. As much as I love Urban Decay Naked, it is a pain to carry places due to its size, you can't just put it in a handbag.

8. Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder in 02 Blondes - £34
I've never tried anything from Guerlain but I really want to. I'm on the look out for a new bronzer and have heard good things about this. Not only does it look pretty, I've heard its quite a light bronzer. As I'm pale a lot of bronzers require a of blending on my skin to look natural, so this looks like it would suit my skin better.

9. Urban Decay Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Colour in Naked - £14
I love lip products in pencil form, I just find them so much easier to apply. I really like the look of this colour from Urban Decay as it seems to be a good natural lip colour. I also like the concept of the pencils too.

10. L'oreal Superliner Black Lacquer - £6.49
I've always heard good things about the L'oreal liquid eyeliners and this one seems to be one of the most popular. My current liquid eyeliner is nearly finished, so I'd love to try this one out. It's a great price too.

11. Bobbi Brown Brightening Brick - Pink - £40
This is described as being similar to the shimmer bricks, but a bit more subtle, offering a 'glow from within'. I've always wanted a shimmer brick but have worried about how shimmery they seem to be, this seems to be a great alternative to highlight the cheeks without going overboard.

12. Illamasqua Precision Gel Eyeliner - £18
In this post I spoke about how much I loved gel eyeliner, and how Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner was one my favourite products ever. I love Illamasqua and would say it is one of my favourite makeup brands, I have never been dissapointed by a product I've bought from them. When I found out they had brought out a gel eyeliner, I knew I had to try it.

That's my current most wanted beauty items. Do you want any of these items as bad as I do? Let me also know the current beauty items you are lusting for in the comments.

That's all for now,

Eyeko Skinny Mini Liquid Eyeliner in August Marie Claire

This is just a quick post to say that with this months edition of Marie Claire Magazine is an Eyeko Skinny Mini Liquid Eyeliner in Black, worth £8. Marie Claire magazine is usually £3.80 but it is discounted this month to £2.50. So you can pick up the magazine and this eyeliner for a really good price. It's a 12g eyeliner so you get a good amount of a product. It isn't full size but as you can see by the photos it is bigger than your average sample.

Dreams Unlimited™ Sun Fresh Eau de Toilette | Review

The Body Shop is most well known for its skincare range, most notably its body butters. I have their body butters and scrubs and love them, however, I had never tried out any of their fragrances. I spotted this one recently and was in love with the bottle design and the scent. It's hard to describe, but to me, this smells like summer in a bottle.

Scent: According to The BodyShop:
"This summery fragrance is a blend of neroli blossom and refreshing watermelon notes. It is vibrant, energising and as refreshing as a splash in the ocean."
There is also added sea spray and fruity watermelon. Personally, I love this combination and I do find it to be a very refreshing scent. I like spraying this on really hot days as I find it really cools me down.

Lasting Power: This is an Eau de Toilette so the scent and the staying power isn't as good as that of an Eau de Parfum, however I find this lasts around 4 hours on me which isn't too bad for an Eau de Toilette. The bottle is small and light so it is portable if you wished to carry it around with you.

Packaging: I really love this packaging, the gradient from blue to yellow reminds me of the summer and being by the ocean. The packaging shows that this is a summer scent. The bottle isn't too heavy too so I don't feel like I'm scared I'll drop it every time I use it. It is also a 50ml size which is pretty good for the price as the standard size for fragrances is around 30ml.

Avalibility and Price: £15 from The Body Shop.

Would I repurchase?: I really like this scent, but for me it is definitely a summer scent so I would only really wear this in the summer, and would choose something else for the winter. For the summer, I do really like this and will continue to wear it, particularly on hot days.
