Steal Her Look | Cara Delevingne

Okay, so I haven't posted any of these in a while so thought I'd do another look. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of this look, but that's more because I'm a very boring, safe person when it comes to clothes. However, because it's quite unique I knew I'd have a lot of fun tracking down similar clothes, and I did.

The Yin Yang Bomber Jacket is probably the center piece of this whole outfit, and I think I've tracked down the actual jacket that Cara is wearing. It's from Nasty Gal and is pretty pricy at over $250, but it does seem to be one of a kind. After searching through google over and over, it seems to be the only thing remotely like this on the market.

The leather look trousers are always available, and I found some reasonably priced ones from River Island. I personally love the look of leather look trousers, however I'm only 5'2 so think they would look awful on me. They look great on Cara though.

The shoes were harder to find, as by my own admission, I'm not really very knowledgeable about footwear. Sure I like my ballerina flats and my heels, but when it comes to trainers and high-tops and low-tops (if that is a thing?) I'm clueless. I managed to find these ones from Rieker which I think look quite similar to the ones Cara is wearing, and they aren't too bad a price either.

Finally, you can't really see the t-shirt Cara is wearing, but it seems to be a grey and white crop top of some sorts. I've just gone with a simple top from Asos that's only £15.

As you can probably see, when it comes to A/W clothing I am the most boring person in the world. I love wearing blacks, greys and whites. I just love how classic it is and how it goes withe everything. These are the current items on my wishlist that I would love for A/W. I think they are all really versatile and can worn for different occasions and I'd get a lot of wear out of them this season. I especially love the Warehouse playsuit which I actually posted about on my twitter. I love lace and I love playsuits, so this is pretty much made for me. It is pretty pricey though at £60 so I may see if it comes in the sales so I can snap it up.

MTV VMAs | Hits and Misses

For those of you who don't know, Sunday was the MTV Video Music Awards. It's in the US so I didn't get a chance to see it and while I like and appreciate a lot of the artists, this post is going to be more about the fashion hits and misses from the event. These types of events are filled with people constantly trying to outdo each other and impress on the red carpet, but while some of the fashion choices are a huge hit, some of them leave a bad taste in your mouth.

Hits

For me, there weren't that many dresses I was particularly impressed with, however these are the few that caught my eye.

Selena Gomez was wearing Versace. I've seen a lot of magazines say that this dress was a miss, but I actually like it. I think the detailing isn't too over the top and doesn't detract from the dress. It flatters her figure and is a bit different without going overboard like some of the other dresses.

Taylor Swift wore Herve Leger and looked gorgeous. Taylor always has such a classy sense of style and I always love what she wears. I love how simple, yet flattering this dress is. It really matches her style and shows off her figure without being too in your face. I think she looks truly elegant and glamorous.

Naya Rivera is stunning, and I love this dress. It's very simple, yet classy and flatters her figure well. It's a very simple design and cut, but it works.

Ellie Goulding is a gorgeous girl, and I love her dress. I love things that are a bit different and love it when girl outfits are made a bit 'edgy' with the addition of spikes. I think the colour really flatters her and the spike detailing manages to make it a bit different from the mainstream dresses without going too far. I think she looks classy but still manages to stand out.

Misses

Having looked at all the images from the VMAs there are far more misses than hits. There's a lot more than the ones shown here but these are the just the top 4 that I really thought failed to hit the mark.

Katy Perry wore this leopard print dress from Emanuel Ungaro, I'm not the biggest fan of leopard print as it is, but it's the golden leaf embellishment that puts me off this dress. I don't think it adds much to the dress and instead takes away from it. I usually love Katy Perry's outfit, but this isn't a hit with me. I do think it fits in well with her new single Roar though (if that was the idea).

Miley Cyrus wore this number from Dolce&Gabbana. I'm not a huge fan of this outfit, I think the gemstones don't particularly go with the outfit and I don't think it's the best for her figure. Miley has a gorgeous, enviable figure due to her love of pilates but I don't think this flatters it.

Lil Kim wore a bodysuit with a bright yellow shoe boots. I actually don't mind the boots and think they would have looked ok with a different outfit. However, with the boots, and the bodysuit there's just too much going on.

Lady Gaga wore Prabal Gurung. Gaga is often known for her outrageous fashion sense, and compared to some of her other outfits this is much tamer. I often love how Gaga challenges the fashion world and some of her amazing designs, but to me this falls flat. The material of the dress is far too akin to a bin liner. Sorry Gaga, but this doesn't do it for me.

Primark Autumn/Winter Collection 2013 | My Picks

Primark. Some people love it and see it as a great place to pick up some inexpensive clothing, while others dismiss it. I used to really like Primark when I was around 12/13 and then quickly stopped using it as I thought the quality wasn't the best and I didn't like the clothes that much anymore. Recently though, I've found that the quality of the clothing has really improved and I actually really like the clothing that they sell. Some it I really don't like and is not my style, but some bits I really like. A lot of their summer dresses at the moment are lovely.

I was looking online and found out that the promo pictures for the new Autumn Winter collection had been released. Now, I know it's still summer but I love winter clothing. Most people look forward to summer because they can wear the lovely floral dresses and crop tops, but not me. I love big coats, I love boots and I love to wear blacks and greys. Winter clothing is much more up my street.

I've put together the pieces that I really love from the new Primark Collection, as you can see I really love Tartan (always have) and black, grey and white colours. To some this may be a bit boring but I love how versatile it is and how it will never date. My favourite thing from the whole collection has got to be the boots, I love them! So versatile and easy to wear. The prices of some of the clothing was known so I've included them but for some there was no pricing available.

Pretty Little Liars | Steal Aria Montgomery's Fashion Style!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm addicted to Pretty Little Liars. It is without a doubt my favourite tv show, and is what I always look forward to watching each week. One of the things I love the most is how beautiful the four main characters are, each with their own individual style. I really love Aria's style, it's very unique to her character and suits her perfectly. I love the quirky outfit she wears and how well she pulls them off. This post shows how to get some of her looks from the show. I find it quite hard to find somethings, and some are quite pricey. This is my first fashion post on this blog so I hope you enjoy it!

So there we go! I love how Aria dresses, I think she has the most unique outfits on the show and also the most distinct. I found it really hard to find some pieces, so some may not look too similar so sorry about that.

Haul! | Mango

This is my first haul post on my blog! I know some people don't like hauls because they think people are showing off or bragging but that really isn't the case. I love seeing what people have bought, it makes me see new things that I like and want, that I didn't even know existed! I also find it interesting to see what people choose to buy and why.

I was in London yesterday for a careers event and had to go to Oxford Street while I was there. I didn't really buy anything other than in Mango. They had a 50% sale in the store and being a lover of Mango clothing, I had to have a look. I don't have a Mango immediately near me (unless I get the train into Birmingham centre and the Mango is quite small) so it was a great chance to look at what they had in stock. I did like a lot of the clothes but decided I'd got too many clothes already.

I needed a new bag and shoes desperately so managed to pick up things that I actually needed and will use, rather than things that will go in my wardrobe and be barely worn!

Touch Quilted Bowling Bag - £42.99 £19.99

The first thing I picked up was this black bag. I really needed a new handbag for everyday use. At the moment I've been using a smaller Mango bag which is great for going out to dinner or for a night out, but is too small for everyday use. It's also quite old and this is beginning to show. This bag is really spacious and you could certainly fit a lot in it. I also like the fact that it will go with all my clothes. I'm really happy with this, and I know Mango bags are good quality.

Studded Shoes - £59.99 £29.99

I don't know the exact name of these shoes as they aren't on their website.

The second thing I picked up were these shoes. And I'm in love with them. I've wanted some shoes in this style for ages but can never seem to find any that are affordable but good quality. These are good quality shoes, they are quite hard and sturdy so certainly aren't going to fall apart like a lot of the other shoes I've seen would. I also love the studs, it makes them a bit different but still keeps them girly. I'm going to be wearing these a lot.They were also a great price at only £29.99. They are clearly good quality which is why they were supposed to be so expensive, and I'm so happy I managed to get the style and quality I wanted for half the price!

They're a bit dirty in the photo because I actually wore them yesterday as the shoes I was wearing were annoying me as they're a bit worn so don't fit great anymore. These were really comfortable and fitted my feet perfectly.

Red Heart Shaped Coin Purse £9.99 £4.99

This wasn't on the website either, so don't the exact name.

The last thing I picked up was this purse. I was in the queue when saw this by the time. At the price of £4.99 I couldn't resist as it was such a nice purse and I needed a one because mine is really really old. It won't hold cards in, but will be great for my holding my money.
